Hi drum friends…
The Clapton song „Pretending“ from 1989 is quite good for drum beginners… the song starts with a piano solo followed by a guitar-solo of Eric Clapton using a so-called ‚war-wah-pedal‘. The dominance of the drum kit was much criticized by many Clapton fans: too less of Clapton’s excellent guitar was being heard – the song too ‚disco-style’… judge by yourself!
The drum-notes are – as mentioned already – quite easy but for a beginner it’s nice to ‚bash‘ the drum kit….

„Pretending“ ist ein Clapton-Song aus dem Jahre 1989 der für Drumming-Anfänger recht gut geeignet ist. Der Song beginnt mit einem Piano-Solo gefolgt von einem mittels Wah-Wah-Pedal erzeugten Gitarren-Solos von Eric Clapton. Die Dominanz des Schlagzeuges war von vielen Clapton-Fans kritisiert worden: zu wenig von Clapton’s Gitarrenspiel zu hören und der Song zu ‚Disco-like’…. urteilt selbst!
Die Drum-Noten sind – wie erwähnt – nicht sehr anspruchsvoll aber man kann als Schlagzeug-Anfänger mal ganz schön ‚reinhauen’….
