„Achy Breaky Heart“ is a song written in 1990 by amateur songwriter Don Von Tress and recorded and released by Billy Ray Cyrus on his debut album „Some Gave All“ in 1992. The song is Cyrus‘ debut single and signature song. It became a big commercial success in many English-speaking countries and the music video for the song led to the explosion of the line dance into the mainstream.

Der Song war Billy Ray Cyrus erste Single und wurde sein Erkennungslied. Es wurde ein großer kommerzieller Erfolg in fast allen Englisch-sprachigen Ländern und das Musikvideo für diesen Song machte den ‚Line Dance‘ salonfähig.
