„Don’t Dream It’s Over“ is a song performed by Australian-New Zealand rock band Crowded House, taken from their debut studio album „Crowded House“ (1986). The song was composed and written by New Zealand frontman Neil Finn and released in September 1986 as the fourth single from the album.
„Don’t Dream It’s Over“ became the band’s biggest international hit in many countries worldwide and the band won many music awards due that song. In May 2001, the Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA) ranked „Don’t Dream It’s Over“ second on its list of the Top 100 New Zealand songs of all time and seventh on its list of the Top 100 Australian songs of all time. Still one can hear that song played on the radio wherever you are in AU or NZ…

„Don’t Dream Its Over“ ist ein Stück der australisch-neuseeländischen Rockgruppe Crowded House von ihrem Debütalbum „Crowded House“. Das Lied war komponiert worden vom neuseeländischen Sänger Neil Finn und war im September 1986 als vierte Single von dem Album ausgekoppelt worden.
„Don’t Dream Its Over“ wurde der größte internationale Hit der Band in vielen Ländern weltweit und brachte der Gruppe viele Music Awards ein. Im Mai 2001 wurde das Stück von der APRA (Australasian Performing Right Association) als das zweitbeste von einhundert neuseeländischen Liedern und als Nummer sieben auf der Liste der 100 besten australischen Lieder gelistet. Immer noch kann man das Stück täglich in den Radiostationen in Australien und Neuseeland hören… viel Spaß damit!
