„Blue on Black“ is a song by American blues rock group Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band. It was originally released on their second studio album, „Trouble Is…“ in 1997. In 1998, the song was released as a single and reached the top position on the USA.
„Blue on Black“ was regarded as the best rock song of 1998 and it won the Billboard Music Award for „Rock Track of the Year“. The song is still a top download of the Kenny Wayne Shepherd catalog and it is also his most-listened to song on Spotify with over 26 million streams.
In 2019, Kenny Wayne Shepherd teamed up with American heavy metal band Five Finger Death Punch, along with country singer Brantley Gilbert and Queen guitarist Brian May for a reworked version of „Blue on Black“.
I attached two different versions with version 1 requiring ‚more work‘ on the closed high-hat whereas the version 2 is bit ’stressless’…have fun!

Im Jahre 2019 tat sich Kenny Wayne Shepherd mit der amerikanischen Heavy Metal Gruppe Five Finger Death Punch sowie dem Country Sänger Brantley Gilbert und dem Queen-Gitarristen Brian May zusammen und veröffentlichte eine überarbeitete Version von „Blue On Black“.
Ich habe zwei Versionen angefügt: Version mit mehr Arbeit auf der geschlossenen High-Hat und Version 2 als ‚entspanntere‘ Version… Viel Spaß!
