The song became famous again due to its presentation in the irish-british movie „The Commitments“ which is a 1991 musical comedy-drama film based on the 1987 novel of the same name by Roddy Doyle. Jimmy Rabbitte – the hero of the movie – intends to bring the soul to Ireland. After some difficulties he forms a band which performs/covers existing soul songs – amongst them „Mustang Sally“…
