Beside using drum notes the usage of play-alongs is an interesting tool for drummer to increase their drum skills…
Play-Alongs are backing tracks of a song in which
- either the music of the drum kit is eliminated or
- only the music of the drum kit is still available (and all other instruments are shut off).
Both variants are of value for different kind of practicing and can help to increase your drum abilities.
How do you get respective play-alongs?
One can either purchase them from professional sources or download them fro free from some drum training portals. As samples please investigate following web-sites:

If you want to practice a dedicated piece of music for which you cannot find a play-along you can create your own play-along by using the program MUSESCORE which has been described already under „Create drum notes“ (Drum Notes…).
Once you have created your own drum notes with the help of MUSESCORE you can use the built-in ‚Export‘-function to generate respective music files. Select your wanted music file format from the list of available formats (e.g. MP3 or WAV) and store the result on your computer.
In case you use an electronic drum kit ist might be possible to load the play-along into your drum computer for practicing. Try it out….

Neben der Benutzung von Drum-Noten sind ‚Play-Alongs‘ für Schlagzeuger eine interessante Variante um die Fähigkeiten zu verbessern…
Play-Alongs sind Musikstücke bei denen
- entweder die Musikebene des Schlagzeuges ‚ausgeblendet‘ (= eliminiert) wird oder
- nur noch die Ebene des Schlagzeuges beinhaltet.
Beide Varianten sind für verschiedene Übungszwecke gut geeignet und helfen die eigene Spielstärke zu verbessern.
Wie kommt man nun an entsprechende Play-Alongs?
Man kann solche Musikdateien kaufen oder auch kostenlos von Schulungsportalen herunterladen. Beispielhaft sind folgende Internet-Adressen:

Will man ein ganz bestimmtes Musikstück üben, kann aber ein Play-Along nicht finden, so kann man ein Play-Along mit Hilfe des Programms MUSESCORE selbst erstellen, welches bereits unter „Erstelle Drum-Noten“ beschrieben wurde (Drum Notes…).
Hat man mittels des MUSESCORE-Programmes eigene Drum-Noten erstellt, so kann die gleiche Datei auch mit Hilfe der ‚Export‘-Funktion in einem Musik-Format abspeichern. Wähle dazu das gewünschte Musik-Format aus (z.B. MP3- oder WAV) und speichere das erzeugte Resultat ab.
Wenn man ein elektronische Schlagzeug nutzt, dann kann man oftmals die MP3- bzw WAV-Datei in den Drum-Computer importieren und entsprechend abspielen.
