„Cajun Moon“ is a song by J.J. Cale and was first published in 1974. J.J. Cale was not very successful with this song but it was several times – with higher success – covered by other artists like Randy Crawford and Herbie Mann.
The song is about the moon over Arcadiana (Cajun-Country) and its influence on the living species, especially the partner of life which was taken away by this moon. The left-back should not worry about so much because the moon is guilty for this situation and not the partner who went away. It is nothing said about the reason of the disappearance/departure and therefor the interpretation is left open for the listener…
